HDR Project

Mid-Exposed
Underexposed

Overexposed

HDR

I liked the HDR image because it enhanced the colors throughout the image by adding details that are spread out throughout the three photos. The brightness of the tree was taken from the overexposed, the building was taken from the mid-exposed, and the sky was taken from the underexposed. Next time I would try to spread out the objects in the photo so they aren't overlapping.

Landscape Preview

1. Maximize your depth of Field- By changing your aperture you are able to increase your depth of field. This helps you focus on as much of the photo as possible.

TIP 1: Think about the Foregrounds-Having an good foreground helps create a very interesting image because not only adds depth but it helps creates a way into the photo.

TIP 2: Capture Movement-Capturing movement gives the photo a point of interest and it helps create a mood.

TIP3: Use a Tripod- The tripod ensures your camera is completely still while taking the photos. This is needed when a longer shutter speed is in use.

EQUIPMENT LIST:

  • Lenses
  • Tripod
  • Camera
  • Flashlight

I would like to go to Mount Bonnell to to capture some landscape images. Some other good places to capture interesting landscape pictures would be at Town Lake and Hamilton Pool.

 What is HDR photography?
HDR photography can be described as images that appear to be very close to what the human eye sees. It creates images with a wide range of colors. It captures rich colors to create a very eye catching image.

1.  HDR stands for High Dynamic Range.

2. The way these images capture so much detail and vibrant colors is what makes it a HDR photo. It captures a very wide range of elements that creates extremely eye catching images.

3. Bracketing is when you take several pictures of the same subject with different exposures.

4. Photoshop can be used to create HDR images.

5. When creating a HDR photo you should try to not combine too many images. This is what helps create more natural shadows instead of making every pixel too exposed.

You can add content blocks to your site by dragging it from the customize drawer and dropping it onto your page.

2. Content Types
The different types of content that can be added to your site are photos, galleries, navigation, video, design, text, social, discovery, services, and HTML & CSS.

3. Photos
The four different ways to organize and display photos on SmugMug is by adding a single photo to any gallery or page, adding multiple photos in the order you choose them in, making a slideshow, and adding a photo carousel.

4. Navigation
The different navigation items you can add to your SmugMug account are featured events, breadcrumb, and menu. With the menu you are able to create a navigation bar that links to different pages on your site and any other external sites you would like to add. The breadcrumb reveals links between pages being viewed and your homepage. With featured events you are able to display events on any page created on your site.

The spacer is helpful for giving content on your page more breathing room. The logo is used throughout your SmugMug to brand any of the pages on your site.

6. Colorspace
Before uploading an image to your SmugMug you need to process it in sRGB colorspace.

7. Cropping
You shouldn't resize your your images because it will create confusion in the shopping cart.
Allowing the customer to crop it to their liking is the best thing to do.
